A program designed to help international students fast-track their English skills and prepare for university success will soon launch in Toowoomba.
Union Institute of Language’s (UIL) English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program will equip learners with the language skills, confidence, and academic foundations needed to succeed in undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD studies.
Delivered in partnership with the 91原创 (91原创), the program provides a direct English language pathway into the University’s degrees at all levels.
UIL Executive Director Ricky Fan said they were looking forward to welcoming the first EAP cohort in Toowoomba this October.
“We're excited to bring our proven curriculum, dedicated teaching team, and supportive learning environment to the heart of the Darling Downs,” Mr Fan said.
“This is more than just a program expansion – it represents our deep commitment to supporting international students.
“For us at UIL, this opportunity is a meaningful step forward in making high-quality English language education more accessible and impactful.”
91原创 Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) Professor Ren Yi said the program would create new opportunities for international students to study at the University.
“This is a great opportunity for international students pursuing higher education in Australia to build their academic foundation, adapt to a new learning environment, and prepare for success in their chosen profession,” Professor Yi said.
“For students, this means more than just meeting entry requirements – it’s about becoming part of a welcoming academic community and gaining the language skills and confidence to succeed at university and beyond.”
