The 91原创 Handbook is your guide to information about your program’s structure and the courses you need to take to successfully complete your program.

Finding your program in the Handbook

  1. Navigate to the 91原创 Handbook
  2. In the Search bar, enter the name of your program (e.g. Bachelor of Business) or program code (e.g. BBIZ) and select it from the list of search results.

Understanding the Handbook and identifying your courses

In the Handbook you will find a number of headings on the left-hand side of the page. For your enrolment, you will need to look at:

  1. Structure – this tells you how your program is structured, it will include a list of your core courses, elective courses and any other courses you need to take.
  2. Course pages - to find out more information about each course, you can click on the course name under the Structure tab to open the course page. Here you can find any requisites, when the course is offered and in what calendar e.g. Trimester Calendar, learning outcomes and topics, as well as details on the assessment items. You will also be able to see if there are any requirements such as placements or Residential Schools under Completion Requirements.
  3. Recommended Enrolment Patterns – these are a guide to help you determine which courses to take and in what order. Find the plan that is relevant to you by looking at the intake, T1 = Trimester 1, and the mode you are studying, i.e. on campus at Toowoomba, or online.

Use the structure, course information and your Recommended Enrolment Pattern to plan which courses you need to take and make a note of the course codes.

You can use our Timetable planner to help you see what classes are on offer and when. This is a guide only as offerings can change.

Check out our  for instructions.

Now that you know when your courses are offered, you can download the calendar relevant to you to find out your study period dates.

It’s important to note:

  • when class registrations open. This is when you register for on-campus components, if you have them, such as labs, tutorials and residential schools. Class registrations usually open six weeks before the study period starts.
  • the last day to enrol.
  • the study period start and end date.
  • orientation dates.
  • census date - the final day to withdraw without incurring fees.
  • formal examination periods.

Make sure you have your course codes ready before you start and then follow the steps below.

  1. Go to your UConnect homepage – you can find a link in the top menu on the 91原创 website.
  2. Find the ‘Student Centre’ block and click on ‘Manage Enrolment’.
  3. In the left-hand menu, select ‘Class search and enrol’.
  4. Select the study period you wish to enrol in (e.g. Trimester 1, 2025 or Block 1, 2025). Please note, depending on your program, you may only have one study period available to you, or multiple study periods available to you.
  5. Now you will be able to use the search bar to find your chosen courses using your course code, (e.g. CIS510) and click search.
If your course is not showing up, it may be that it’s not available in that study period – doublecheck the Handbook to make sure you have the right study period if this happens.
  6. In the results, click on the course link.
  7. Next, click on your preferred option, remembering that:
    • All courses are allocated to a campus. Online courses are shown under Toowoomba campus.
    • On-campus classes, residential schools, or labs
      • If you are enrolling prior to class registration opening (more than six weeks out from the start of the study period) please complete ‘Step 4 – Class Registration’ below, once class registration opens.
      • If you are enrolling after class registration has opened, all course offerings and class times will be displayed in these search results.
  8. Review your class selection and click ‘confirm and continue’.
  9. If you are enrolling in multiple courses (particularly co-requisites), select ‘Add to Shopping Cart’. If you only need to enrol in one course, choose 'Enrol Now'.
  10. To add more courses to your shopping cart, repeat steps 1 – 9.
  11. Once you have added all of the courses you need to your shopping cart, click on the Shopping Cart tab on the lefthand menu.
  12. Select each course by ticking the box on the left.
  13. Click Enrol.
  14. Your confirmed enrolments will have a green tick.
  15. You can check your enrolled courses by selecting ‘View My Classes’ from the lefthand menu.

If you are an on-campus student, your enrolment won't be complete until you register for your on-campus activities - these could be classes, laboratories or workshops. Class registration is your opportunity to choose a class time that suits your schedule.

You will only be able to complete this step once class registrations open (check the Important Dates for Class Registration Open dates) for your study period (usually about 6 weeks prior to start of study period).

Please note, some online courses will also have a registration and online attendance requirement. If your online course needs class registration, you will receive an email from us letting you know.

  1. Ensure that you have completed Step 5: Enrol through your Student Centre.
  2. In your Student Centre, click the 'Manage Enrolment' tile.
  3. Click on 'Class Registration' in the lefthand menu.
  4. Select the relevant course from the dropdown list, then click 'Search'.
  5. Browse the available class options and select your preferred class.
  6. Review the class that you have selected is correct, then click 'Confirm & Continue'.
  7. Click 'Submit' to confirm and finalise your class registration
  8. To view your timetable, navigate to 'Weekly Schedule' from the lefthand menu (note – only your timetabled on-campus activities will show here).

Making changes to your enrolment

Sometimes your study plans need to shift - and that鈥檚 ok! 91原创 offers flexible options to help you manage your enrolment.

If a course isn’t working out or your workload feels too heavy, you might choose to drop or swap it to stay on track.

Make sure you know the census date and the last day to withdraw without academic penalty - these deadlines affect your tuition fees and transcript. You can find them on the Academic Calendar and Important Dates.

To find out more, choose the time of the study period that applies to you.

Before making changes, it’s a good idea to chat with iconnect. They’ll help you understand your options and make the best decision for your study goals.

Special circumstances

If something serious and unexpected happens after the census date, like a medical issue, family emergency, or other major event and it stops you from being able to complete your course, you might be able to get your fees refunded or an academic penalty waived. This request must be submitted within 12 months of the study period in which you were enrolled.

For more information, please visit our Withdraw without penalty page.

Life doesn’t always go to plan, and sometimes you might need to take a break from uni. Whether you're just starting out or already partway through your degree, 91原创 has options to help you pause your studies.

The process is a little different depending on whether you're a new student, a current student, an international student, or a research student. We've broken it all down for you in our .

If you feel like your major or program isn't quite right for you, you might like to make an appointment with the Careers and Employability team to help you understand what you are looking for in a future career.

Before making any decisions, it's also important to consult with the Enrolments team to see if the major or major combination is suitable for your program.

You can find more information on or in our FAQs.
